Concert by La Ronda de Boltaña

La Ronda de Boltaña is an Aragonese musical group founded in 1992 in the town of Boltaña, in the heart of the Pyrenees of Huesca. Created with the purpose of recovering and revitalizing the rich folk tradition of the Aragonese mountains, the group is characterized by its vibrant and respectful interpretation of jotas, popular songs, and traditional dances. Its sound, deeply rooted in the culture of its land, is built with acoustic instruments such as the guitar, accordion, Aragonese “gaita de boto”, violin, and dulzaina, creating an atmosphere that is both authentic and festive, evoking the pilgrimages and gatherings of yesteryear.

Throughout its extensive career, La Ronda de Boltaña has transcended the strictly folk sphere to become a cultural phenomenon and an emblem of Aragonese identity. Its success lies in having managed to connect the essence of traditional music with a contemporary audience, both in Aragon and the rest of Spain, thanks to its powerful live performances, full of energy and feeling. More than just a group, they are custodians and promoters of an intangible heritage, having inspired new generations of musicians and leaving a fundamental legacy in the revitalization and pride in Aragonese popular culture.

On the upcoming 7th of February, La Ronda de Boltaña will offer a concert with a repertoire based on all those songs composed over more than 30 years that we all know.

The concert will take place at the Palacio de Congresos de Boltaña at 18:00 hours.
