On September 2 (San Vicente and San Gonzalo) and September 8 (the Virgin of the Door), the traditional and massive paloteo of Longares is performed. This dance is interpreted by practically all the neighbors, formed in sides and in a single row that runs through the streets of the town to the sound of the melody that the Band performs.
It is a popular dance possibly dated in the seventeenth century that, like the ball dels totxets of Camporrells, has not lost its participatory character and the residents of Longares themselves are responsible for transmitting it from generation to generation and interpreting it when the holidays arrive.
