“The third lover”

Teruel celebrates a new edition of the Modernist Week, a historical recreation party that highlights the value of the important heritage of that historical era that is still present in the city streets. The squares of San Juan, the Torico, the Mercado, and buildings as emblematic as the Mercantile Casino and the Marín Theater, still show traces of how the city was in the transit from the 19th to the 20th century. In these scenarios, this recreation takes place under the name of The Third Lover, in which professional actors and volunteers relive the daily life of the Teruel inhabitants of that time.

The Modernist Week in the city of Teruel is celebrated between November 11 and 17, 2019. The program contains a long series of events that revive ancient crafts, games or traditional festivals, accompanied by exhibitions and conferences. In the field of popular musical tradition, a traditional festive bureo or open-air dance stands out, on Friday 15 at 10 pm, and a traditional serenade, on Sunday 17 at 12:15 pm, both by the Ciudad de los Amantes Cultural Association .
