The Jorgeada 2026, with Gaiteros del Rabal

The Jorgeada 2026 is set to kick off with a festive atmosphere that’s hard to match. This year, the traditional walk held before Saint George’s Day —organized by Os Andarines d’Aragón— will once again depart from the impressive Aljafería Palace at dusk on Saturday, April 22, heading toward the Hermitage of Saint George in Huesca. But before the walkers set off, the square will fill with music and tradition: at 7:30 p.m., Gaiteros del Rabal will ignite the popular open-air celebration with their melodies and dances, a beloved staple of this event.

The official start will feature, as always, the contagious energy of these musicians, who have long provided the soundtrack to one of Zaragoza’s most cherished festivities. And to ensure no one runs out of energy at the beginning, Os Andarines d’Aragón will offer moscatel wine and cookies to all attendees who wish to join the celebration and accompany the participants to Plaza del Pilar, where the free start of the night walk will be given.

A perfect blend of tradition, music, and community that marks the beginning of one of the most emblematic events in the Aragonese calendar.
