The relationship of the great tenor from Huesca Miguel Fleta and the song of the jota is the theme of the conference given by the writer and poet from Zaragoza Miguel Ángel Yusta, Mayusta, a great connoisseur of the Aragonese jota and author of several collections of songs.
Although Miguel Fleta is internationally remembered for his lyrical career, which led him to sing on stages such as the Scala in Milan and the Metropolitan of New York, the jota was always present in his performances as a child, as an apprentice of the popular jota in the sine of your family jotera; later, as a frustrated aspirant to professional jotero, and already at the peak of his career as a tenor, when lavished on performances of the most popular jotas of the zarzuela and the género chico or in recitals and recordings whose repertoire always incorporates the jota .
