The XXII season of music at the church of St. Paul (Zaragoza), organized by the Municipal Board of the Historic District of the city, offers a series of concerts throughout the month of November. As usual, these concerts, one every Thursday of the month, are dedicated to classical music formations covering a wide variety of styles and musical forms, including occasionally winks to other rhythms, as is the case of the concert scheduled for the next 7 of November 2019.
This concert, titled Soul of Saraqusta, will be starred by the group Berluna, a formation that accompanied the dancer Miguel Ángel Berna in his Mudéjar show, but also offers solo concerts with music that combines the jota and Aragonese folk with the most varied musical trends and particularly flamenco.
Alberto Artigas (bandurria and lute), Jaime Lapeña (violin and viola), Guillermo Gimeno (archilaud and Spanish guitar), Miguel Ángel Fraile (bagpipe, accordion, flutes and dulzainas), Lourdes Escusol (voice), José Luis Seguer, Fletes (drums, djembé and darbuka) and Josué Bárres (flamenco box drum and djembé), are the components of this formation whose sound enters the deepest roots of traditional Aragon music.
All the concerts of the cycle have free admission until the capacity is reached and they are held at 20 hours in the church of San Pablo, Plaza de San Pablo, in Zaragoza.
