In 1988 the first meeting of bagpipers of Aragon was held in Ainsa, which marked the future development of the recently recovered Aragonese bagpipe. This meeting had its continuation in another event of more modest dimensions that was carried out the following year.
Now, in 2019, a Meeting of Pipers of Aragón is held once again. The program includes lectures and round tables by the most important protagonists of the process of recovery and dissemination of the Aragonese bagpipes: Roberto Serrano, Mario Gros, Luis Miguel Bajén, Ángel Vergara, Joaquín Pardinilla and José Luis Sarrablo, as well as performances by La Ronda de Boltaña, La Chaminera and Joaquín Pardinilla Sexteto.
The meeting will be held on June 14, 15 and 16 in Aínsa.
