We are already thirty of April on expiry. The tradition of singing the Mayos survives in many places in the Sierra de Albarracín, where it was a rite of welcome to spring and the season of love.
These places still maintain the tradition of the serenades, and some others associated with them, such as the raffle of the single boys and girls. A beautiful tradition that has been preserved and that is worth knowing better.
From April 30 to June 8, 2019, the villages of the mountains of Albarracín will revive the serenades, the song of the Mayos and some other ancestral customs linked to this songs of love and joy.
Among the planned activities, in addition to the serenades, the singing of the Mayos and the raffles, there is the usual meeting of rondallas and groups from the region, and a performance by the Zaraval group.
