In 2012 it was declared an Inmaterial Cultural Interest Good.<\/p>\n<p>The contradanza consists of three parts: the dance of the contradanza, several <em>mudanzas<\/em>\u00a0(scenes) in which figures are represented forming human towers (castles) and a final scene in which death and resurrection are represented by the devil.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>mudanzas<\/em> are interpreted to the sound of a single melody that is repeated throughout the performance.<\/p>\n<p>The protagonists of the dances are eight <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>contradanceros<\/strong><\/span>, divided into two groups of four, wearing suits with black and white ornaments and covering their faces with masks.<\/p>\n<p>With them also intervenes the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>devil,<\/strong><\/span> with a red suit and face adorned by large sideburns, mustache and goatee, all painted.
