On Friday, 18 September 2026, at 7:00 p.m.,<\/strong><\/span> La Ronda de Bolta\u00f1a<\/strong><\/span> will offer a concert in the Central Courtyard of the Auditorium (Paraninfo) of the University of Zaragoza.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Founded in 1992 in Bolta\u00f1a, La Ronda de Bolta\u00f1a<\/strong><\/span> was born from the desire to revive the traditional ronda<\/em>, a festive practice that had disappeared from local celebrations. On that Saint Paul\u2019s Day, the streets once again filled with the sound of the gaita<\/em>, the horn, accordions, guitars, small guitars, lutes and bandurrias<\/em>. Jotas, mazurkas, polkas and pasodobles echoed through the town, restoring to the community a tradition that soon became a symbol of identity.<\/p>\n

Since then, the group has become an essential reference of Aragonese folklore, transcending borders and generations. Their music is living memory of the Pyrenees and of Arag\u00f3n, a bridge between what we were and what we continue to be.<\/p>\n

With their characteristic blend of guitars, accordions, gaitas de boto<\/em>, violins and dulzainas<\/em>, La Ronda de Bolta\u00f1a<\/strong><\/span> turns every performance into a collective celebration. Their jotas, songs and musical stories recover the essence of the Aragonese mountains and project it with a contagious energy that reaches both those who grew up with these melodies and those discovering them for the first time.<\/p>\n

The ronda<\/em> is, in itself, a village “in full celebration”: porrones<\/em> and lamines<\/em>, basil, full tables and open doors. A gesture of community and hope in a time of closed houses and people gone. Whoever walks with the ronda<\/em> opens their door to everyone, and everyone opens theirs to them.<\/p>\n

After more than thirty years of stories, mountains, struggles and joys, La Ronda de Bolta\u00f1a<\/strong><\/span> remains true to its spirit: staying in Bolta\u00f1a, their place of origin, and roaming \u2014sometimes farther than expected\u2014 bringing their music wherever it is called for. Their “price” remains the same as always: chiretas<\/em>, wine, celebration and friendship.<\/p>\n

The concert at the Auditorium will be a unique opportunity to enjoy a group that not only performs music: they share it, celebrate it and turn it into a collective embrace. An evening to reconnect with tradition, emotion and the strength of a people who sing so as not to forget.<\/p>\n

Admission will be free, with prior registration at eventos.unizar.es<\/em><\/a>. Registration opens on 10 September at 10:00 a.m.<\/p>\n
