{"id":6160,"date":"2024-11-10T14:42:28","date_gmt":"2024-11-10T13:42:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arafolk.net\/?p=6160"},"modified":"2024-11-10T15:19:59","modified_gmt":"2024-11-10T14:19:59","slug":"folcloristas-ixuplidaus-en-a-espanya-de-franco-lomax-schneider-larrea","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arafolk.net\/gb\/2024\/11\/10\/folcloristas-ixuplidaus-en-a-espanya-de-franco-lomax-schneider-larrea\/","title":{"rendered":"Forgotten folklorists in Franco&#8217;s Spain: Lomax, Schneider, Larrea"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Fernando el Cat\u00f3lico Institution<\/strong><\/span> of the <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Zaragoza Provincial Council<\/strong><\/span> hosts a course on the work of these three folklorists, <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Alan Lomax, Marius Schneider<\/strong><\/span> and<span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong> Arcadio de Larrea,<\/strong><\/span> whose reearch covered the traditional folklore of Aragon in its entirety, but which was ignored or distorted during the dictatorship for indoctrination purposes, resulting in the deep ignorance that still exists today in Aragon about our authentic folklore and traditions.<\/p>\n<p>Four experts in the field of folklorism will speak on this topic: <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Manuela Adamo<\/strong><\/span> (historian, Master in Contemporary History from the University of Zaragoza), <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Vincenzo Santoro<\/strong><\/span> (writer and scholar of popular culture), <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Ascensi\u00f3n Mazuela<\/strong> <\/span>(coordinator of the University Master in Musical Heritage of the University of Granada) and <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Mario Gros<\/strong><\/span> (luthier, musician and folklorist).
